چکیده

The transport of photoinjected charges in disordered organic films is often interpreted using a formula based on a Gaussian disorder model (GDM) that neglects spatial correlations due to chargedipole interactions, even though such correlations have recently been shown to explain the universal electric field dependence observed in these systems. Based on extensive computer simulations of a 3D disorder model that includes such correlations, we present a new formula for analyzing experiments that accurately describes transport in these materials. Field Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration

In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...

Electronic Transmission Wave Function of Disordered Graphene by Direct Method and Green's Function Method

We describe how to obtain electronic transport properties of disordered graphene, including the tight binding model and nearest neighbor hopping. We present a new method for computing, electronic transport wave function and Greens function of the disordered Graphene. In this method, based on the small rectangular approximation, break up the potential barriers in to small parts. Then using the f...

Photogenerated Carrier Mobility Significantly Exceeds Injected Carrier Mobility in Organic Solar Cells

Charge transport in organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices is often characterized by space-charge limited currents (SCLC). However, this technique only probes the transport of charges residing at quasi-equilibrium energies in the disorder-broadened density of states (DOS). In contrast, in an operating OPV device the photo-generated carriers are typically created at higher energies in the DOS, follo...

Carrier heating in disordered organic semiconductors

We propose a semi-implicit model for hopping transport in disordered media with application to organic semiconductors. The results show excellent agreement with both Monte Carlo and standard master-equation calculations. In organic LEDs the applied field would result in heating of the charge carrier population by up to 100 °C above the lattice temperature and is more effective at lower temperat...

Measurement of the Charge Carrier Mobility Distribution in Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells.

Charge carrier transport through organic solar cells is fundamentally dispersive due to the disordered structure and complex film morphology within the photoactive layer. A novel application of transient photocurrent and short-circuit variable time-delayed collection field measurements is used to reconstruct the complete charge carrier mobility distribution for the photogenerated carriers in op...
